• Do I have to pay a deposit? What if I can't make my appointment?

    We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. We require a non-refundable £15.00 deposit at the time of booking. If your service is cancelled within the 48 hour window, then the deposit will be kept and a new booking will be required. This is to cover costs of the cancelled appointment. If cancelled prior to the 48 window, then you will be asked to rearrange the appointment in which the deposit can be carried over.

  • How much does it cost to groom my dog?

    Final prices depend on the breed, type/condition of the coat & temperment upon arrival. Any prices provided are an estimate only. Additional charges may be incurred due to:

    • Overweight dogs or oversized for the breed
    • Unkept/neglected coats
    • Aggressive, senior, nervous or timid dogs that require additional handling
    • Fleas and/or ticks

  • My dog is matted, is there an additional charge?

    If your dogs coat has matting, we charge an additional £10 per hour taken to de-matt the coat. This is due to additional time taken for our groomers. We always practice welfare over vanity and if we are presented with a neglected coat, we may believe it is kinder to remove the coat in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006.

  • How long will a groom take?

    Times for each dog are approximate and guide times is listed on our booking page. The time taken for your dog can depend on the breed, type/condition of the coat, temperment and age. Feel free to get in touch with us or a complimentary consultation and guide price.

  • What size dog should I book?

    We offer services for small, medium or large breeds. As a general rule of thumb, small is under 13kg, medium is 13kg-20kg, large is 20kg+. We understand that your dog may not be the typical size for their breed, so if you're unsure of which service to book, feel free to get in touch.

  • How often should my dog be groomed?

    The frequency of your dog's grooms can entirely depend on their needs, their coat type and more. We will tailor the service to them and recommend to you how often they should visit us. We can discuss this in your complimentary consultation.

  • What age should I bring my puppy?

    Bringing your puppy to the spa from an early age is recommended so they can learn to love the experience of grooming. Your puppy can visit once they've had both their vaccinations. We will get slowly get them used to the various sounds, tools and handling of our services. You can take a peek at our puppy packages here.

  • Do I need to bring anything to their treatment?

    We ask that your dog arrives to their appointment on lead and has had a chance to go to the toilet. If your dog has a nervous temperment, we would recommend they arrive with an empty stomach. Clients that are new to our spa will be asked to fill out a client registration form when you arrive. Or feel free to fill it out prior to your appointment.   • Can I stay with my dog during their treatment?

  • My dog is reactive, will they have to go in a crate?

    We understand that the groomers can be an anxious time for many dogs and our salon team are experienced with nervous dogs. If your dog is uncomfortable with other dogs or people, we have secure pens in our spas to ensure your dog is safe & sound. If your dog is comfortable with a muzzle, we also have these in salon to protect them and our team.

  • What if I can't drive to my grooming appointment?

    Not a problem! We offer a dog taxi service in the surrounding areas of our Birkenshaw & Brighouse salon. Our dog walking team will pick up your pooch and take them to the salon. You can then collect them from their appointment or we can drop them off home. Please get in touch with our dog walking team to arrange a dog taxi or call your preferred salon.

  • How many dogs do you walk at one time?

    During group walks we walk a maximum of 7 dogs per group and we will make sure that the dogs are are compatible. Group dog walks are a fantastic way to socialise your dog and build social skills. For solo walks, we can walk two dogs from the same household.

  • Where are you based?

    We offer dog walking in the areas of Brighouse, Birkenshaw & Cleckheaton and will offer walks within a 5 mile radius of these towns.

  • How long are your walks?

    Our group walks are 2 hours and includes pick up and drop off. Our solo walks are 30 minutes or 60 minutes duration excluding drop off time.

  • Can I meet you in person?

    Absolutely! We believe in creating relationships with our clients and dogs. We offer a complimentary induction to give us a chance to get to know you and your needs. We ask that you book this prior to your first dog walk with us.

  • My dog is reactive/nervous, can they be walked?

    We know that not all dogs are social dogs or require a tailored service. Our walker will discuss your dogs behaviour in a compliementary induction to find the best service for you. For severely reactive/anxious dogs, we do recommend our our solo walks.

  • Are you insured?

    Each of our team have fully insured vans, secure caging and ventilation. We are also canine first aid trained and DBS checked.

  • Do I need to be home when you collect my dog?

    No! The majority of our clients work full time and are happy for us to collect their dogs whilst they are out. We will ensure fresh water is provided and muddy paws are wiped upon drop off.

  • Can I specify a certain time for my dog to be walked?

    We offer specific time slots for our services via our online booking system. We aim to always be on time, howeber, pick up and drop off times can vary dependent on traffic, weather conditions etc.

  • Can I just have occasional walks?

    Yes! If you are in need of a one-off service, you can book online. We will also be launching block bookings for those who want to book frequent walks.

  • What happens in an emergency?

    Prior to your walks, we ask our clients to fill in a pre-form questionaire, which will include details of your Vet, emerency contact and more. If urgent attention is required, we will contact you and your vets.
